Dream Team : Tim Sharrock

Introduced to speedway at Southampton in 1957. Supported and then helped to run Milton Keynes Knights in the last months at The Groveway and at Elfield Park, when Terry Cheney was in charge. Recently have supported Peterborough Panthers.

Big, burly, bustling, like a bear on a bike, but the best passer ever; we used to hope that he would not gate.

Craig Featherby
The most natural rider of them all. He seemed to merge with the bike. A tragedy when he died at Peterborough, in conditions unsuitable for racing, just before his first-ever qualification for the National League Riders' Championship final.

Ove Fundin
Always a hated rival, but who can deny that he was a great rider, with immaculate style.

Hans Nielsen
Not only a great rider, but a great ambassador for the sport, always ready to chat with fans, even when riding at a minor track such as Rye House or Milton Keynes.

Nigel Crabtree
Never gave up, a supreme passer, and therefore great entertainment, even though he was always riding for an opposing team.

Ryan Sullivan
Sometimes over shadowed by other Aussies (especally Jason Crump), but at his best was a match for them all, and was the most approachable, always ready to chat with fans.

Tomas Gollob
Wow! What a Number 7 he would make! Always exciting to watch, always spectacular, often successful, always trying.
