Dream Team : Steve Morgan

I was five when I went to my first Wolves meeting, in 1977. I will only pick my team based on riders who have ridden for Wolves in that time.

Nielsen Correy

Hans Nielsen
I was nearly as young as Hans when he was the number 1 at The Green. Matured into a top notch World Champion.

Mark Loram
Although he only had one season at Wolves, his eight point average shows that he can ride smaller tracks although bigger ones suited him. I also felt it important to include an Englishman in the team!!!

Sam Ermolenko (Capt)
Without doubt, the best rider I have ever seen on a bike!! He could slow races down to team-ride, he could square corners off to pass - a great leader and team-rider.

Ronnie Correy
A good gater in his day, winning the majority of the time from the front. Came up trumps with Sam when it mattered.

Freddie Lindgren
He is the new master of The Green. Very rarely gets beaten at home, and rides it better the grippier it is.

Peter Karlsson
A consistent performer at home through the different spells he has had at the club. Always thought he had the tools in the box to perform on the World stage, but didn't.

Michael Max
Peter's brother was another who was a classy number one. I think these two would get a 5-1 in heat 2!

Sorry to all those I have not included. You have provided us with enjoyment and happiness (at times) over the years. Lets hope I could include three young Brits in Tai, Joe and Ashley in a few years.
