Dream Team : Sam Thomas

A team of Eagles, Americans and World Champions

WattHancock

Martin Dugard
First wild card to win a grand prix, an amazing rider who could've been the best in the world if he was more motivated.

Davey Watt
A very likeable rider who can mix it with the big boys and who served the Eagles very well in the two seasons he rode.

Greg Hancock
The most likeable guy in speedway and a great team rider. He has only become world champion once but could've become several times over.

David Norris
A local lad who blew hot and cold throughout his career. One of the top riders in the league in 2004, just a shame it was too late.

Bruce Penhall
Another great American who unfortunately never rode for Eastbourne. A deserved two times world champion and the ultimate professional in his day.

Tony Rickardsson
You cannot leave him out, I would also include Ivan Mauger but I saw Rickardsson ride and set the current track record around Arlington.

Leigh Adams
How has he not won the world title? The best underachiever ever. You could mistake for sitting on an armchair as he is so relaxed on the bike.
