Dream Team : Richard Tooley

I am 22 years old, live in Wymondham with my family and have been a lifelong fan of the Kings Lynn Stars/Knights along with my father Nigel and have been to over 20 different tracks in britain following speedway in all leagues. The team I have chosen includes some of the greatest modern riders to wear the lynn race jacket and a few who stayed loyal to the club for many years.

ParkerTopinka

Tony Rickardsson
Tony has very special memories for me mostly for his all action style, his machine like consistency and also for breaking the track record at Kings Lynn 3 times in 1999. He may have only had one season at Lynn and left a sour taste in some mouths when he quit the team but he remains a very nice man, always helping out youngsters in the team and will go down in history as one of the all time greats of speedway.

Leigh Adams
Leigh Adams is special for me and many other speedway followers because he is the kind of rider you would love to have in your side for skill and style on the bike and for his leadership as a team captain. He might not have had as much world success as he deserved but at club level he has always been world class everywhere he has ridden. My main memory of Leigh at Kings Lynn was his twin spearheads with Tony Rickardsson in 1999 and Jason Crump in 2000 as captain.

Nicki Pedersen
Nicki Pedersen has to be my all time favorite rider in the world mostly for his all action aggresive riding style and his never say die attitude. He may have his critics but his record of 3 world titles places him amongst the greats of the sport and also he is very friendly off track. My favourite memory of Nicki has to be at the Lynn practice day in 2001 when he rode a really dodgy track like it was perfect pulling wheelies and showing off mostly because my dad called him a nutcase afterwards (not to his face though!)

Mark Loram
Loramski! A star in every sense, for his five years at lynn and his 12 later seasons entertaining fans all round the world with his never give up attitude. His gating was dodgy at best but what wasn't was his ability to come from the back under almost any conditions and on any track in the world. I was gutted for Mark when he had his crash at Ipswich with a very unfortunate and blameless Sam Simota and sadly he might not entertain us on a bike again but he deserves his place as one the best racers of modern times.

Shane Parker
Shane was a very consistent rider for us mostly because he recorded the remarkable feat of being an ever present for Lynn for 2 years in 1997 and 1998 as our number 1 and he was also an excellent team man especially after he was axed in 2000 he helped the team out in any way he could which is something he has continued at the other clubs he has ridden for.

Bohumil Brhel
Bo Brhel was one of the real popular riders of Kings Lynn speedway for his loyalty to the club since he first came over in 1990 only leaving for Oxford when Lynn didn`t run in 1996 alongside his "czechmate" Tomas Topinka, both returned in 1997. Bo might not be a speedway great due his frustrating inconsistency but he deserves his place in my team thanks to his great service to the club over the years.

Tomas Topinka (captain)
Current Stars captain Tomas Topinka deserves his place in my team for his outstanding service to the club since he arrived in 1993, his leadership qualities as a captain, his ability to team ride with inexperienced riders and to perform and win races under pressure. Tomas might not have hit it off in the elite league consistently due to injury but he has rightly his title of "Mr Kings Lynn Speedway".
