Dream Team : Kenneth Wagstaff

I am 21 years old and support Berwick Bandits. Followed them since 1989. 1991/1992 were my best seasons. My most memorable meeting was when we beat Wolverhampton at home 48-42 (I think) and we only had half a team.

Mark Courtney
Was one of the best to ride round the Berrington Lough circut. Had a silky smooth style and rarely put a wheel wrong. You could always count on him winning heat 1, 13 and 15. Mark was a very fast starter and one of the best to me. He also done his bit away from home. Mark was also a great team rider and would help the young lads out too.

Jimmy Nilsen
Jimmy was a real fan favourite. He is the fastest man round Berrington. Jimmy was one of the best gaters Berwick have had and he always gave 100% whether he was at the front or the back. I recall one night when he passed Peter Ravn of Coventry then he had to stop Rick Miller passing him at the same time. Was one of the best riders never to be world champion to me.

Richard Knight
We have not had a number one since Richard in 1992. He come in on a 11 point average that year after coming down from the top flight season the year before. Was excellent round Berrington, he could ride inside, outside and the middle of the track. was an excellent team rider always looking for his partner in the race.

Scott Lamb
Lambey was great round Berrington and was good round Shielfield. Was a Shielfield track record holder. Lambey rarely lost heat 1 and he was always not far away in 13 and 15. He was always good for 10 or 11 points each meeting and he always scored well away from home. He is the only rider Carl Stonehewer has never beaten around Workington.

Adrian Rymel
Was an unknown when he first rode for us. He had a good season for the first few seasons then had the season away and come back all guns blazing. He had a great 2008 season.

Alun Mogridge
Was a master of the Shielfield track. Held the track record for a week before Sean Wilson broke it. He was close to geting the track record that week too. Was a real performer and brought great excitement for the fans.

Carlos Villar
What can I say? Was so entertaining to watch and was worth the entry fee alone every week. It was a tragedy what hapened to him. It was great to see him back at Berwick this season (2009). Great to see him still do motorsport.
