By Tracy Holmes

With David Bargh and Mark Lyndon having been KO'd at the Commonwealth Final, it was up to Mitch Shirra to fly the Silver Fern solo. Mitch dropped just 2 points and finished 2nd to Kelvin Tatum at the Commonwealth round. Now it was off to Coventry for the Overseas Final on July 10. The top 9 going to the Intercontinental Final at Vetlanda on Hiroshima Day.

It was a cold and wet night at Brandon but it did not stop this being 'Mitchion Accomplished' as the lone Kiwi sailed through no sweat.
