Dream Team: Andrew Welch
I have been a Coventry Bees supporter for 35 years and have seen lots of changes in speedway. Some good, some bad, but still speedway is my number 1 sport.
Tommy KnudsenMy hero and inspiration growing up in the middle 80's. The greatest rider never to win a world championship. Oozed style and class on a bike and even after a career threatening back injury, fought his way back to the top of the sport.
Andreas JonssonOne of the sport's best talents, so smooth, so fast, excellent.
Erik GundersenProbably the best world champion to pull on leathers. He had a kind of invincibility about him, competitors feared him, even before they went on the track.
Greg HancockWas and still is a legend, his desire for speedway is never in question and has ridden at the top of the game for over 20 odd years.
Hans NielsenInvincible we used to call him, like Gundersen, they beat many an opponent before they even took the track. If you needed a man to go out in a one off heat to win a meeting, you would have chosen Hans every time.
Kelvin TatumThe original British speedway riding hero, watched many last heat thrilling deciders of meetings with Tommy Knudsen and Kelvin Tatum in the last heat to beat the best in the world to win meetings. Also flew the flag for British speedway for many years.
Tony RickardssonSubmit Your Own Dream TeamCan't leave him out, one of the most successful riders of his or any generation.

Jimmy: "Totally agree with you about Tommy. As a Cradley fan I should hate Tommy & Kelvin but I didn't."
